Rhinestone Eyes

This personal project was inspired by (and animated to) a verse from Rhinestone Eyes by the Gorillaz, and put together with AE, C4D, and Redshift. We wanted to visually represent the themes of the 'Plastic Beach' album, which explores hope and optimism in an increasingly industrial and artificial world, amidst anthropogenic environmental damage and hyperconsumerism.

Experimenting with environmental fog, particle / pyro simulations and layering levels of displacement really tied these scenes together.
